Informal Dialogue on Response Measures
June 15
By invitation only | Bonn
This meeting is part of the “Response Measures of the Paris Agreement under the UNFCCC process” project, following the informal forum in Katowice, held in adjacent to SB 50 in Bonn.
It aims to create an informal atmosphere, where the participants can explore, discover, explain and understand different points of view related to the issues in Article 4.15 of the Paris Agreement, looking at the impacts of implementation of response measures taken by Parties and how these mitigation policies/actions could have “in- and out-of-jurisdiction” or cross-border impacts. ERCST presented its current study on providing and testing a methodology which assesses and analyses the adverse, and unintended impacts of existing and emerging, climate mitigation measures and policies. The session ended with looking at the way forward for the ongoing SB 50 and the upcoming session at COP 25 in Santiago, Chile.
