The next ERCST Informal Dialogue on Article 6 Implementation will take place in Istanbul. The ERCST project on Implementation of Markets and Non-Markets Provisions in the Paris Agreement has been putting together Parties’ Article 6 negotiators since 2015 aiming to create an informal atmosphere to explore, discover, explain, and understand different points of view related to Article 6 implementation.

At this stage, the key objectives of the Informal Dialogue are to develop a common understanding of the steps and processes for the 2028 revision of the Article 6 rules, enhance international cooperation on Article 6 implementation, and frame expectations for COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye.
