This paper provides a quantification based on the Global Change Assessment Model (GCAM) of the economic and environmental potential of using Article 6 of the Paris Agreement to achieve NDC targets. Rel world considerations and potential implications are discussed of the design options that are considered in the international negotiations under the UNFCCC.
