In the aftermath of COP28, and the conclusion of the first Global Stocktake – which enables countries to measure the progress in meeting the targets set out in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) – Our Executive Director, Andrei Marcu, was joined by Yvon Slingenberg, Deputy Director at DG CLIMA, to reflect on: (i) the current state of implementation of the EU Green Deal and Climate Law; (ii) the progress made to achieve a fair transition to climate neutrality; (iii) the 2040 target; as well as (iv) the EU strategic policy priorities in the run-up to 2024 European elections.
