The discussion will focus on the current EUA price level and their impact on decarbonisation efforts, both in industrial sectors, as well as other sectors of the economy. The reaction in the EU seems to vary depending on sectors and EU Member States. Some sectors see the very rapid price increase as beneficial and supportive of decarbonisation effort, while other sectors make the case that this pace drains resource from decarbonisation efforts while the pace of set turnover cannot be sped up. This is an important topic that will help inform the discussion especially on EU ETS review, as well as other parts of the Fit for 55 package.
