ERCST is carrying out a research project on optimizing the CBAM de minimis threshold — specifically the cumulative 50-tonne threshold per importer — assessing whether it should be adjusted or further developed in light of potential extensions to the CBAM scope.
At this Launch Event, ERCST will present the findings of its policy report and open the floor for feedback and discussion, covering the project’s methodology and analysis, its implications for importers across sectors, and questions of legal and practical feasibility.
The event will bring together representatives from industry, international organizations, civil society, academia, and government to discuss the report’s findings and recommendations.
