This is the launch event of ERCST Paper ‘European Commission’s CO₂ Transport Package: Implications for EU Climate Policy’.

The paper aims to critically assess the policy conditions needed to foster the development of CO₂ infrastructure. It examines the need for a dedicated CO₂ transport infrastructure to enable Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Carbon Capture and Storage (CCUS) and Carbon Dioxide Removals (CDR) at scale, and analyses how such infrastructure can support the emergence of a functioning CO₂ market and viable business models or carbon management technologies.
