Following the CBAM regulation officially entering into force on the 16 May 2023 we will gather at this International Townhall to explore the practical implications of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The event will focus on when the rubber hits the road, providing insights into the implications of operationalising CBAM and the necessary steps to take, such as the method of calculating of embedded emissions.

This session, convened by ERCST on the basis of its extensive work on the EU CBAM, brought together global thought leaders on international climate cooperation and CBAM to discuss the trajectory of CBAM implementation.
