In recent consultations conducted by the ERCST, stakeholders expressed concerns about the current structure of the Hydrogen Bank’s auction and the scope of eligible offtakers.

The discussions highlighted two primary issues:

– Exclusion of CCS Retrofitting
– Requirements for Off-take Agreements

Additionally, Hydrogen Bank has the potential to serve as a key platform for managing the aggregation of hydrogen demand and coordinating joint purchasing efforts.

This event aimed at fuelling and informing the discussion on the different Hydrogen Bank’s instruments. It was an opportunity for stakeholders to bring up issues and better understand the Bank’s development strategy amidst the evolving domestic and international landscape.
