This report starts with analysing the experience of mitigation activities in urban areas under the CDM, NAMAs and TAPs. This analysis provides a starting point to develop implementation approaches for urban activities under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Finally, the report delves deeper into approaches to ensure additionality of urban mitigation activities.
