This report introduces the background and context of TCAF’s approach to carbon crediting, showing how it differs from other financing initiatives, and how it relates to international crediting under the Paris Agreement. Different approaches to carbon crediting are discussed and an overview of the TCAF core parameters for crediting are provided. Finally, the core parameters are applied to six hypothetical case studies.
