This paper provides a summary of discussions with Carbon Market Mechanisms Working Group (CMM-WG) experts on Article 6-compatible crediting baselines and reflects on ongoing UNFCCC negotiations in terms of baseline methodologies and approaches. Finally, the paper identifies key issues for further discussion including ambition, carbon credit types and uses, and transition of baseline methodologies.
