Session 1: Implementing Article 6.4: Design options and the role of different actors in the possible transition of CDM activities

This presentation was delivered by Simon Fellermeyer from the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment at the CCXG Global Forum on the Environment and Climate Change – March 2021. The presentation gives initial feedback on the “Operationalising the Article 6.4 mechanism: options and implications of CDM activity transition and new activity registration” draft paper and provides some questions to steer the discussion on why the CDM transition is an issue, which actors are involved and are mandated, and what needs to be done before COP26.
