This presentation was delivered by Thomas Forth from the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Natural Conservation and Nuclear Safety at the CCXG Global Forum on the Environment and Climate Change – March 2021. The presentation looks at the Article 6, paragraph 4, of the Paris Agreement Proposal by the President Version 3 of 15 December 2019. The focus is on paragraphs 33-38 which deal with methodologies, and comment/questions are provided for different sections. After providing general remarks on the draft text, the presentation provides the rationale of a BAT approach for host Parties.
