This paper looks at the impact on the African CDM portfolio of current options for transitioning from CDM to new market mechanism of Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement. Key issues that are undecided are identified, as well as the challenges related to transitioning of CDM methodologies, activities and units that needs to be taken into account when developing a CDM transition.
