Blending climate finance and carbon market mechanisms: Options for the attribution of mitigation outcomes

This paper explores environmental integrity and economic efficiency in the context of combining climate finance (Article 9) and carbon market (Article 6) provisions in the Paris Agreement. Different methodological approaches to assign GHG reductions to financial and market instruments are discussed.
