This paper gives an overview of what is needed for African countries to be ready to engage in cooperative approaches under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The paper identifies ongoing Article 6 market readiness and piloting activities in Africa and discusses how countries can build on existing CDM-related frameworks and capacities.
