This paper formulates recommendations on the operationalisation of the principle of additionality under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Different definitions and approaches for testing of additionality are explored. Furthermore, the conditions for testing additionality of activities or policies necessary in the new context of the Paris Agreement are discussed.
