This paper assesses the UNFCCC SBSTA chair’s “options paper” on one specially selected issue – CDM transition. Along with this, if further analyse the experiences gained with piloting so far. It also studies how the voluntary market can credibly transition and, last not least, at ways to overcome barriers to Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in carbon markets.
