Policy Brief “Green Claims Directive: what to expect for climate-related claims?” (Working Paper)

This policy brief looks at the proposed Directive on substantiation and communication of explicit environmental claims (Green Claims Directive), vis-à-vis the European Parliament recently adopted amendments and the Council’s general approach, by analysing the specific provisions concerning climate-related claims and potential implications. It also intends to look at the current state of discussions not only through a legal lens, but also through a policy lens, providing takeaways and raising questions.
