ERCST Reflection Note – 2022 CCUS Forum: An overview

In late October, the Commission organized the second meeting of the Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage Forum (CCUS Forum) in Oslo, in cooperation with the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy of Norway. During this forum both common and sectoral issues can be discussed, as well as a place to share knowledge by learning from best practices and actors already active on the ground.
Starting from the work carried out from the three working groups created as an outcome of last year’s Forum edition, the topics of discussions in the second meeting of the CCUS Forum were the strategic vision for CCS and CCU, the CO2 infrastructure and the CCUS industrial partnership.
In this paper, ERCST summarises and reflects on the key topics and outcomes of the 2022 CCUS Forum.
