Gabriele Romeo
Junior Researcher
Gabriele joined ERCST in March 2023 as a Junior Researcher. He works within the Hydrogen and EU ETS workstreams, supporting the publication of annual reports.
Gabriele has worked at the intersection of Economics, Energy, and Policy in various capacities. As an intern at Enel, he assisted in assessing sectoral and carbon market dynamics within the European Affairs unit. At the under-30 think tank Orizzonti Politici, he led the Research Team and published reports on Energy and Environmental issues. He attended COP28 as an observer and represented Italy at the 2021 and 2022 pre-COP Conferences of Youth in Glasgow and Sharm El-Sheikh. He is a member of the UNECE Resource Management Young Member Group and is the Co-Editor of the Sciences Po Energy Review.
Gabriele is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Energy Transitions at the Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economic History from The University of Edinburgh.
