SUMMARY:The European Green Deal: State of Play
DESCRIPTION:This meeting is part of a continuous series of meetings organised by ERCST on the European Green Deal. This work stream aims to bring together policymakers and stakeholders on a regular basis to take stock on recent developments\, look ahead to what is in the pipeline\, and discuss the general implementation of the EGD framework.\nThe European Green Deal can be seen as a collection of priorities\, principles and areas where legislative proposals will be produced in the coming years. While the full scope of the EGD is not yet clear\, and many of the policy choices will only be decided upon at a later stage\, a number of policy initiatives have already been unveiled or kicked off in recent months.\nEach of these session will focus on the recent high-level policy developments under the European Green Deal\, and the ‘general sentiment’ of stakeholders on the direction and implementation of the EGD.\n  \nRegistration Link \n \nWorkshop Material(s)\n\nDraft Agenda\nERCST presentation – State of the EGD\nTotal presentation Outlook\nWWF and Poland background\nUpcoming Events\nStakeholder Consultation: CBAM in an International ContextApril 22 @ 15:00 - 17:00Launch Event – 2026 ETS ReviewApril 23 @ 10:00 - 12:00Launch Event – Carbon Leakage under CBAM and Free AllocationMay 13 @ 10:30 - 12:302026 State of ETS – LaunchMay 20 @ 15:00 - 16:30International Townhall: CBAM in an International ContextJune 23 @ 14:30 - 16:30\n\n \nPast Events\n2026 Review of EU ETS – Stakeholder meetingApril 1 @ 15:00 - 17:00Launch Event – Policy options for sustainable mobility: the road to decarbonizationApril 1 @ 10:00 - 12:00Quo Vadis ETS: Challenges and SolutionsMarch 23 @ 16:00 - 18:00
