For more information contact: msangiovanni@ercst.org\, hbevernage@ercst.org \nFollowing the release of the permanent solution for CBAM exports within the EU ETS review\, this stakeholder meeting provides a dedicated forum to examine the proposed framework in detail. The proposal marks a significant step in addressing one of the most contested dimensions of CBAM design – the treatment of EU exports and their exposure to carbon leakage risk in third-country markets. \nThe meeting will bring together stakeholders to assess the proposed solution against the objectives of environmental integrity\, trade competitiveness\, and WTO compatibility. Participants will be invited to consider the practical implications of the proposal for affected sectors and third countries\, and to reflect on outstanding design and implementation questions. \nThis public stakeholder meeting is convened as a stand-alone event\, outside the regular sequence of ERCST’s CBAM project activities\, in direct response to the publication of the legislative proposal. \n  \nAgenda[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

For more information contact: msangiovanni@ercst.org\, hbevernage@ercst.org \nWith the EU CBAM now in its definitive phase\, this second report under the Border Carbon Adjustments in the EU – Phase VII workstream examines its international implications\, placing the mechanism within an evolving landscape of third-country responses\, emerging carbon pricing systems\, and growing discussions on interoperability and cooperation. \nThe report analyses how the EU framework interacts with international partners and the broader landscape it is helping to shape\, examines emerging responses\, and considers avenues for cooperation. It concludes with recommendations for the CBAM’s effective integration in this evolving context. \nFollowing a Stakeholder Consultation and International Townhall on this topic\, the ERCST will launch and present the paper at this event and open the floor for feedback.
