SUMMARY:The CRCF trilogues and the Industrial Carbon Management strategy: where are we headed?
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn 2023\, the policy framework related to CCUS and carbon removal technologies gained considerable momentum in the European Union thanks to the new legislative proposals developed by the European Commission\, such as the Certification Framework for Carbon Removals (CRCF) and the announcement of an ‘Industrial Carbon Management’ strategy\, alongside other pieces of legislation. \nIn 2024\, important developments in these two files are expected\, as the ordinary procedure related to the CRCF should come to an end before the next policy cycle\, and the Industrial Carbon Management strategy was published on February 6. \nThe roundtable discussed key developments on the two proposals and provided an opportunity to exchange views on how it addresses concerns from stakeholders and to better understand how the policy framework related to CCUS and carbon removal methods will develop.  \nAgenda     ERCST slides on CRCF trilogues     ERCST slides on ICMS    ERCST Publication
