SUMMARY:Expert consultation: Including products further down the value chain in the EU CBAM
DESCRIPTION:This is an online event. \nBy invitation only. \nThe CBAM’s transitional period is now underway\, however several issues remain unresolved ahead of the definitive period and numerous delegated and implementing legislations\, along with reviews are due before the end of the transitional period. The ERCST’s third report of CBAM V will look at the topic of CBAM revenue use\, as this is of increasing importance to international stakeholders. \nAt this expert consultation the ERCST invited a small group of people to discuss the inclusion of additional products in the value chain in the CBAM related to the review under the CBAM due at the end of 2024. \nERCST invited covered sectors and other stakeholders to obtain current insights on the impact on downstream cost increases and the risk of value chain substitution for semi-manufactured and manufactured goods. The discussion also covered potential KPIs that can be used to determine if a product should be covered by the CBAM or not. \nAgenda
